Updates from KDRT – Low-Power Community Radio

KDRT had a great year. KDRT programmers and volunteers provided major support for the Davis Music Festival, organized benefit concerts at Sudwerk and the Davis Odd Fellows, and hosted Professor Jesse Drew and about 30 students from the Technocultural Studies Program at UC Davis every Tuesday morning during fall quarter for another round of Technocult Radio.

Ruth Chambers and a cast of several brought us old-time radio storytelling on Chambers Street Theatre, and other long-running shows continued to delight and inspire (Davisville, Na Mele O Hawaii, Davis Garden Show, Live Tracks, The Grapevine).  Check out new show Davis Music Connections, “a panoply of music somehow connected to Davis” with your host Connections Clyde (Clyde Bowman), Tuesdays 2-3 p.m. Wednesday mornings at 10 brings The Folk Brothers with an eclectic range of music from traditional folk of the British Isles and United States. Find jazz, rock, hiphop and Afrobeat Friday mornings at 10 with Harold’s Chicken, followed by the landscape of metal with Heavy at 11.
