Proposed Bylaw Changes
The Davis Media Access board of directors is seeking approval of proposed changes to the organization's Bylaws. View the proposed bylaws here.
Among the substantive changes:
-Moving from an elected board to an appointed one. For years, we’ve
struggled with low election participation and high costs (especially in
staff time) to administer elections. Via committee work, we are will
continue to provide many outlets for suggestions and decision making.
This shift mirrors that in the larger non-profit community.
-Broadening membership to include non-profit or community-based
organizations whose members include a large number of Davis
residents.
Members have been send a ballot to vote on the Bylaws changes.
