What We Do
Our mission is to enrich and strengthen the community by providing alternatives to commercial media for local voices, opinions and creative endeavors.
Davis Media Access (DMA) is a non-profit, membership-based media
center offering community members the tools and training to create
their own video and audio programming.
Davis Media Access is the parent organization of Davis Community
Television (DCTV), Comcast cable channel 15 and KDRT-LP, 101.5
FM.
Public access television and low-power radio are unique. The programming found on these channels is created by volunteers from our community. DMA provides unique and powerful tools for citizen expression in Davis, a forum for public discourse and dialog, and a showcase for issues and events. Our services and facilities are available to all members of the Davis community on a non-discriminatory, first-come, first-served basis.

You can air your programs on LPFM radio station KDRT, or you can show your videos on channel 15 on the Comcast cable network. After you come to an Orientation our staff is here to help you translate your ideas into programming. We are available to assist you with all phases of production. Our programming policy is open to a wide range of viewpoints and expressions of our community.
Programming
DCTV shows most of our programming Tuesday through Thursday evenings and most of Sunday. We also show the University of California's channel, UCTV in the morning Monday through Thursday, and Free Speech TV Monday through Friday in the late evening.
We are also proud to air Pacifica's award-winning Democracy Now! with Amy Goodman, shown Monday through Friday at 4 p.m. For exact dates and times see our programming schedule. We also would like to thank The Davis Enterprise for printing our schedule in its Thursday "Spotlight" section.
If you have a program you've already made or a friend from out of town has already made, we can show it on our channels. If interested take a look at our Programming FAQ.
Another source of programming is from C and KU band satellites. For more info see our Satellite downlink FAQ.
If you are interested in getting a copy of programming shown on our channel see our Duplication FAQ.
Community Bulletin Board
When we aren't showing the programming above we show our community bulletin board. If you are a non-profit and want to promote your event or activity, please see our Community Bulletin Board Guidelines.
Partnerships & Collaborations
We receive major funding via partnerships with the City of Davis and the Davis Joint Unified School District (DJUSD). We provide the bulk of production and playback services for DJUSD's educational access channel 17. We help promote the channel and work with District staff on equipment purchases and maintenance. More information about Channel 17 can be found at www.djusd.tv
Each election season, we partner with Davis Community Network, the City government channel 16 and the Yolo County Elections Office to provide results and analysis of local races. We thank these long-time partners for their commitment to voter education and civic programming.
We are also a proud media sponsor of the City of Davis' "Street Smarts" traffic safety program. For more information, please visit Street Smarts.
