Storytelling: Discovering Self, Connecting Community

A FREE community event sponsored by Davis Media Access and the Yolo County Library, and enabled by the City of Davis Arts Grants program.
"People are hungry for stories. It’s part of our very being. Storytelling is a form of history, of immortality too. It goes from one generation to another." – Studs Terkel

Participants who use various types of storytelling in settings ranging from academia to non-profits will share their experiences both in creating and teaching this expressive art form. Come see a screening of digital works created by community members, and learn how storytelling practices are being used as a form of art and empowerment across diverse settings and throughout Davis.
