Information about AT&T's U-verse

Feb. 18, 2010 – AT&T U-verse is a VDSL (Very High-Bitrate DSL) service offered by AT&T. It provides broadband Internet access, TV, and phone through a fiber-to-the-node communications network. AT&T is deploying the service under a statewide franchise granted via the Digital Infrastructure and Video Competition Act of 2006.

AT&T began offering the U-verse service in Davis in January 2010. As of this writing, the local Public, Educational & Government (PEG) access channels are not yet available on U-verse and AT&T estimates their deployment in Davis at somewhere between 45 and 90 days. It is our understanding that the local PEG channels will be Channel 99 on U-verse and they will not be DVR recordable.
