Introduction to Audio for Video

Bad audio can ruin your video. Distracting background sounds, garbled voices, or tiresome noises will distract your audience and take away from your film or video's impact. Great sound will draw the audience in, and can add additional information and impact. In this Zoom workshop, we'll cover the basic properties of sound as they relate to your video, how sound is recorded, and the things you can control in order to capture the type of sound that will enhance your project, and not detract from it. Learn about microphones, and how sound can be modified, mixed, and separated to get the results you want. Many of these skills apply even when you won't have visuals (like podcasting). The workshop is (2) 45 min sessions (with a ten minute break) and twenty minutes for follow up discussion and additional questions.
