The League of Women Voters, at the request of the Davis City Council, will host a Public Forum
on Wednesday, February 16, to showcase each of the ten candidates to fill the current vacancy on
the City Council. The Forum will begin at 7:00 pm in Community Chambers (23 Russell Blvd.)
and will be televised on Government Channel 16 (and streamed on www.cityofdavis.org/media ).
Anyone wanting to learn more about the candidates is encouraged to attend.
The League has developed a structure to allow each candidate equal opportunity to share their
views and to answer questions both from community groups and from the general public. After
each candidate has a chance to introduce him/herself, the League moderator will ask the
candidates questions submitted by the Davis Chamber of Commerce, the Yolano Group Sierra
Club, the Yolo Taxpayers Association and the Associated Students of UC Davis (ASUCD).
Each candidate will have only 1-2 minutes to respond to the questions. The second half of the
Forum will enable community members in attendance to submit questions for the candidates.
