Shooting on Location with the Canon XA-25
Davis Media Access will hold the "Shooting on Location with Canon the XA-25" workshop for volunteers looking to learn how to properly use our new Canon XA-25 cameras and to gain permission to check out the cameras for your media productions. This is a low-cost, two-day, hands-on workshop and part of DMA’s ongoing mission to train the public in local community media. Wednesday Jan. 14, and Thursday Jan. 15, both 6pm-8:30pm. Taught by Jeff Shaw or Alex Silva-Sadder.
Learn to use your GoPro!
The little GoPro camera is changing the way we look at video, and resulting in some of the most exciting footage on the Internet. Perhaps you recently came into possession of a GoPro camera? Or maybe you've had one for years and barely use it. Perhaps you find it a bit difficult to use, with only two buttons and many menu options? Bring your camera to this special workshop, where we'll go over the basics of the camera, discuss simple ways of using it, and answer specific questions participants may bring. Taught by Jeff Shaw.
This is a low-cost, educational workshop and part of DMA’s ongoing mission to train the public in local community media. Thursday, Jan, 29, 6-8 p.m.
No prior involvement with Davis Media Access is required for attendance. Members of the public are welcome to register. Please bring your GoPro camera with you fully charged!
Beginner Studio Tech Workshop
A workshop for volunteers looking to learn how to properly use our two-camera High Definition television studio and to gain permission to reserve the studio for your media productions. Taught by Diane Dedoshka.
You'll learn the basics of the camera pedestals, the video switcher, the intercom, lighting and audio systems, and the Broadcast Pix switcher and associated software. This is a low-cost, two-day, hands-on workshop and part of DMA’s ongoing mission to train the public in local community media. Tuesday, Feb. 24, and Wednesday, Feb. 25, both 6pm-8:30pm.
