A Note From the Director

It’s the time — and the season.

Year round, Davis Media Access (DMA) and its projects —DCTV, DJUSD.tv and KDRT 95.7 FM—provide our community with a wealth of local content. It's spring, which means it's time for our annual funding appeal. This is where we ask you to step up and support the work that DMA does.

There are various ways to support the work of community media this spring, and many of them are coming up quickly.

You may be getting a letter in the mail soon requesting your financial support for our programs and services. This is the one time of year we reach out and ask for the community’s support in this way. Our fund-raising goal is $25,000 before June 1, 2015. This money keeps KDRT on the air, and provides support for some of our work supporting youth media projects, and local election coverage. It’s critical that we raise this money in order to continue providing these services.

Whether you receive the letter or not, you can donate safely online at davismedia.org/donate, and we’re all set up to accept recurring donations. I give to many other local non-profits, and love the option to donate $5, $10 or $20 per month, knowing that these donations greatly help out non-profits serving our community.

You might also attend KDRT’s 10th Birthday Celebration at the Odd Fellows Hall on April 25, or participate in the Big Day of Giving on May 5, or like and share content on our Facebook pages, or follow our Twitter feeds…opportunity abounds.

If you’ve watched, listened, created, guested or otherwise benefited from DMA's services, then you’ve been part of shaping community media in Davis. Please give back to DMA, here in this season of giving.

With tremendous gratitude for all who participate & support,

Autumn
