Davis Media Access (DMA) has openings for video production internships.
The internship is available to DJUSD students and provides hands-on experience and exposure to many aspects of video production. During the four-month, non-paid internship, participants focus on media coverage of assigned DJUSD events, namely athletic games, music concerts and drama productions.
This Pearl Harbor Day, December 7, Davis Media Access is proud to be recording World War II Veteran Mr. Francis Resta and Colonel Bruce Burns. They will be presenting on "The Battle for Welz,” part of the Rhineland Campaign where the Allies suffered extremely high casualties.

Any potential volunteers please come to one of these, held monthly. They last about an hour and include the history of Davis Media Access, a tour of the facilities, and information on how to get involved.
This second New Field Camera Orientation on Thursday October 16, from 6:30pm-8:30pm is ONLY offered to volunteers currently in good standing and who have DCTV Field Camera certification.
No RSVP needed- just show up at the station!
This means if you have not already checked out a camera from DMA, you are not eligible to attend this New Field Camera Orientation.
If you are new to DMA, consider attending a General Orientation.

This year looks to be one of our most fun yet!
If you are interested in enrolling in one of our four kids camps for Spring or Summer 2014, don't delay too long! Some of our Summer camps fill up by March, and we know some parents and kids try to coordinate with friends to be in the same camp.
The DVDs will be ready about 2 weeks after each graduation and the ceremonies will also air on Channel 17 starting June 18th.

Davis Media Access (DMA) will host a night of 2-D animation on Thursday, Jan. 20 from 7-8:30 p.m. Facilitated by MFA artist Emily Schleiner and DMA Animation Camp Instructor Alex Silva-Sadder, the evening will highlight examples of inspiring, yet simple 2-D animation techniques.
I attended a meeting of regional NAMAC members at 9th Street Independent Film Center. The building is owned by a consortium of film focused groups, like the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival, Frameline (International Lesbian & Gay Film Festival), Center for Asian American Media, among others and managed by the Film Center.
